چکیده

This paper presents a novel, general and intelligent approach to multiresponse process optimisation, whose purpose is to obtain a single optimum setting of process parameters that meets specifications of all considered, possibly correlated, responses. The approach is based on Taguchi quality loss function, multivariate statistical methods: Principal componenet analysis and Grey relational analysis, and artificial intelligence techniques: Artificial neural networks and Genehic algorithm. The proposed model considers process optimisation in a general case where analytical relations and interdependences in a process are unknown, thus making it applicable to various types of process optimisation problems. The implementation of the suggested approach is presented on a study that discusses the optimisation of thermosonic gold wire bonding process in semiconductor industry, for the assembly of microelectronic devices. The results confirm the effectiveness of this approach in the presence of three correlated responses (product quality characteristics).

A Robust Desirability-based Approach to Optimizing Multiple Correlated Responses

There are many real problems in which multiple responses should be optimized simultaneously by setting of process variables. One of the common approaches for optimization of multi-response problems is desirability function. In most real cases, there is a correlation structure between responses so ignoring the correlation may lead to mistake results. Hence, in this paper a robust approach based ...

A Multi-Objective Optimization of Artichoke (Cynara Scolymus L.) Leaves Aqueous Extraction Dehydration Through a Novel Spray Drying Approach Using Response Surface Methodology

In this study, Cynara scolymus L. leaves aqueous extract powder was produced using a novel spray drying approach by incorporation of ongoing ultrasonic atomization and vacuumed drying chamber. A Response Surface Methodology (RSM)-based central composite face-centered design was employed for optimization of the operating conditions of the ultrasonic vacuum spray dryer. The independent variab...

Multi Responses Optimization Through Game Theory Approach

In this paper, a new approach based on game theory has been proposed to multi responses problem optimization. Game theory is a useful tool for decision making in the conflict of interests between intelligent players in order to select the best joint strategy for them through selecting the best joint desirability. Present research uses the game theory approach via definition of each response as ...

A Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach with Interval Numbers for Evaluating Project Risk Responses

The risk response development is one of the main phases in the project risk management that has major impacts on a large-scale project’s success. Since projects are unique, and risks are dynamic through the life of the projects, it is necessary to formulate responses of the important risks. Conventional approaches tend to be less effective in dealing with the imprecise of the risk response deve...

A Chance Constraint Approach to Multi Response Optimization Based on a Network Data Envelopment Analysis

In this paper, a novel approach for multi response optimization is presented. In the proposed approach, response variables in treatments combination occur with a certain probability. Moreover, we assume that each treatment has a network style. Because of the probabilistic nature of treatment combination, the proposed approach can compute the efficiency of each treatment under the desirable reli...
